I should be getting my new chicks very soon. But of course they will be kept inside for the first 5 weeks. I also have been given a mature rooster. My question is what is the best way to introduce the chicks and the rooster together?

For me, a fully mature rooster is easier than any other age / sex chicken to integrate with 5 week old juveniles.

With my free-ranging games, the adult rooster actually takes over much of parenting duties when his offspring are about 5 weeks old as that is time hen begins setting up to rear another brood.
