Maturing at the same rate?

    Typically do chicks of the same breed mature at the same rate? I definitely have one male Ameraucana, the other 4 look similar and I'm hoping that means hens. I wasn't sure if sometimes there are late blooming roosters or not.

    I know in some breeds , that tends to be the case. The males will feather out slower than the girls.

    I know hens and roosters mature at different times, I was wondering if all roosters will mature at the same pace as the other roosters.

    No they each mature at their own rate, like people. [​IMG]

    Too bad, right now I have 1 white silkie rooster and 1 ameraucana rooster out of 10 chickens and I was hoping it would stay that way. They're due for their 3 week old photoshoot this weekend, so I'll post some pics and see what others think.
