I have only gotten one order of easter eggers from McMurray hatchery, the girls look fairly similar with the partridge coloring but the boy I got is very different in color, I think they gave me him as my mystery chick. I was wondering how varied their stock of easter egger colors they have are as well as the color of eggs they produce. My girls are only 13 weeks old so I don't have any egg pictures yet but I thought it would be fun to see what everyone else has gotten from this hatchery, and what I might be able to expect with my next order. Here are my birds, the black and white one is my boy, also only 13 weeks old.

I've had 3 EE hens from McMurray. One of them was colored like your pic 1. At two years old "Dusty" laid 3-4 medium-large green eggs/week spring-fall, but took the winter off. The second hen was colored identical to your pic 3, but she had a big full beard. At two years old "Lacey" reliably laid 3-5 huge blue eggs/week. She was my definite favorite of my first flock. The third hen was a solid blue very flighty hen. I bought her as a three year old because she was so pretty. But after keeping and feeding her for nearly a year I got a total of 3 pretty speckled brown eggs from her and so sold her for the stew pot. I never did get any pics though of any of the McMurray EEs.

Please also comment on how good of layers your birds are/were. I'm really missing the blue/green eggs but people tell me that they're poor layers compared to Rhode Island Reds and that's been my overall experience too, but that's just based on three older hens. Please someone tell me that McMurray's EE are excellent layers! :)

How co-incidental that my 3 EE's that I ordered look just like yours.

This is Sassy when she was a little younger.

My current EEs are not from Murray McMurray, but I've ordered EEs from MM on a couple of different occasions in the past, and most of the EE hens laid some shade of blue or green eggs with a couple of beige eggs and one pale pink one. As for their lay rate, they were pretty good layers giving me 3 or 4 eggs per hen per week.

Wow, I got mine exactly 1 week after you, on June 8th. They look like they are siblings!
