We got ours from Topflight Mealworms and were very happy with them, howeve just got an email from them today saying they were taking some time off to do a major expansion. Hope I got that right. my son is selling some right now. 2,000 for $24.95 or 3,000 for $31.95. You can pm me or email him @ [email protected]. Regardless where you get them Backyard Chickens can provide you with great information on raising mealies. I'd be happy to help as well.

I just couldn't bring myself to do it knowing there was better options! Only thing is I like things right then and there or I'll procrastinate and never get it done. So guess what I still haven't started! Hahaha

Yeah, I got my first 100 at the local aquarium shop for $8. In fact, the clerk winced when she told me the price. So I saved back a bunch after I fed some to a sick hen, and began my own worm farm. Heck, the little buggers multiply like crazy without my having to do much more than keep them in enough wheat bran and carrots for them to do their thing.

I can't believe people pay that much money for them.

Grubco.com is where I have ordered for 7-8 years. 1000 worms is around $14 shipped.
