Mealworms and flies

Can i feed my girls dried mealworms and flies?

We have been they love love love the dried mealworms. They also love the flies courtesy of my two boys.

Mealworms are the greatest! However, flies do carry disease and parasites. The chickens will catch flies on their own, I am not sure adding more flies to the mix is the best idea.

Hmm..I was thinking about the wild flies which DO carry parasites. I would imagine that flies sold by a pet shop would be clean. (I had NO idea you could by flies!) So I would go ahead and feed those flies!
