Mean Silkies...?

Hello all,
I recently was gifted two Silkie "hens" from a friend who found them at a local auction. These hens are at present one confirmed rooster and we're not sure about the other yet. Everything I have read thus far on the Silkie breeds is that they are docile lovable creatures...Well, these two are ULTRA mean to the point that I have not yet been able to handle either of them without them drawing blood. As the rooster matures he is starting to seem a tiny(and I do mean tiny) bit better in the temperament department. The other is increasingly more mean and at most times seems very stressed as it is under constant attack from the confirmed rooster. Any thoughts?

I think they may both be roosters. In which case it would be better to separate them and/or get them enough hens to keep them busy.

How old are they? Sounds like two roosters. Do they peck you? Charge you when you go into the pen? . Rooster are very difficult to train or re-train.

I'm not sure as to their age because they were bought from an auction. The white one began to crow two weeks ago so my guess is under 6 months old. My chickens are free range so there is no pen to contend with, however they both peck me when I attempt to handle them. I'll take and post some pics tonight...
