I am new to the PNW and I'm trying to get my little 5 acre Woodinville homestead off the ground. I currently have 12 chickens: 5 pullets, 6 laying hens, and Fred the rooster. I am interested in locally sourcing a few meat chickens to raise and slaughter myself. I am open to any and all suggestions and advice? Do any of my PNW backyard chicken friends know of a local source or is it the wrong time of the year to get chicks? If it is, does anyone know of anyone who sells slaughter ready chickens? Thank you!
