Meat ducks ?

    What's do y'all think is the best breed for meat ducks ? Looking for something to add to the homestead.

    I prefer the lighter color heavy breeds. Dark feathers make for a less attractive table bird.

    Personally I keep saxonies, which are slower to market then say a pekin. This tends to be the case with the heritage breeds.

    Muscovies are good meat birds and reach market weight pretty quickly. 13 weeks I think.
