medicated chick food

I've seen several times ducks shouldn't have the medicated chick food, im just wondering wih.
My chicks are on medicated feed and I cant keep the ducks out of it. They share a run and the chicken coop. The ducks do have their own food and they all get salad every day (lilac leaves are a new favorite ).
They are about 6 wks. Old now and doing great.

You are going to get different opinions from everyone. Medicated starters usually only contains amprolium which is safe for ducks. I have always used medicated and always will. Many others on here who have raised thousands of birds have said the same, you might be able to do a search on this topic to find where they have stated it themselves.
