I got two Peking ducks from TSC today!! My chicks are due to arrive tomorrow or the next, so my flock will be complete. I set up a completely seperate brooder for them and they are doing wonderful! Kinda skittish and scared, but that's to be expected for the first 3 hours that they've been here. LOL. I'm new to both chickens and ducks, but I've been reading this forum for so long - I feel like i'm almost a pro when it comes to chickens. Ducks are a bit different. I downloaded the Storey's guide to ducks the other day and have been reading through it. Any suggestions that I can't find in that book? Anyone know the personalities of a Peking?

They're adorable

OMG, they are cute. I just sat in front of their brooder for an hour and just watched them. They kept going back and forth between the feeder and the waterer, eating up the wheat grass shavings I'd given them and just chatting away. They are so cute when they lay down to drink. They'll just flop down next to the waterer and blow bubbles, shaking their bill in the water and flipping pine shavings into it. LOL.
