Meet solo...The lone survivor

    Out of 42 eggs only one hatched. I did everything right humidity and temp nice and constant and I only candled 2 eggs twice. Lock down was perfect and still only one chick. I named him solo and he's growing stronger by the minute since he was alone we went and bought him some brothers. Immediately they loved eachother, after a few soft pecks , solo was following them everywhere. He would chirp loudly if they got too far away. I'm still sad only one hatched but one is better than none,right?

    I like the name SOLO . And I like your attitude of looking at a glass and seeing it half full rather than half empty.

    It was risky puting the older chicks with him but I didn't want him to be alone and there were no other chicks available, so I risked it and he's happier than ever

    I named the other chicks Martin, Luther and King since I bought them today
