    Here is my attempt to introduce the new girl. Drop some treats inside and out side the cage and let them "break bread" together.......

    Nice of you to break them in slowly, it is best that way. I had to introduce a new EE last year to my flock. Took a few weeks, but she's just part of the gang now.

    That's a really awesome concept. [​IMG] When I introduced ours, I brought them onto the floor and let them mingle and do their thing. I never thought of giving 'em food before while meeting! Great idea!

    I did that, I got 6 week old pullets and fed scratch to them and my hens on either side of the wire every day until they were old enough to be introduced. I figure it's a kind of positive re-inforcement. Chicken brain: Treats are nice + new faces come with treats = new faces are nice!
