    JBarringerNC Chillin' With My Peeps

We are new to owning / raising backyard chickens, I just wanted to hear from anyone in our area who has a small backyard flock of their own.

I have only 4 Chickens currently and they're 10 weeks old and we're getting ready to move them from the garage to their permanent home in our backyard.
They are not going to be free-ranging since our backyard doesn't have a fence and I'm afraid it'll cause issues with neighbors if they were to free-range.

I would love to hear from any members who are in Charlotte.

    ~Thanks for reading~

I actually hatched them from a homemade incubator i made out of a rubbermaid cooler. id recommend just buying pullets, young chicks, etc. and 1 good rooster (if you want them to have fertilized eggs to raise more in the future)

raising them from the egg is tough and not worth it.. unless you have a lot of time to spend on it. (just my 2 cents)
