(Fixed Video for it is not private) We were just getting used to & enjoying our 21 / one month Red Comets & Leghorn girls. Today an uncle bought us 100 peeps! Mercy me!! They are adorable Road Island Reds and have not stopped eating since they arrives 4 hours ago..lol So all of our plans for finishing up the coop we have now have changed & fast! We will be turning our barn/shop into a coop now. We will still have the first coop to use for the roosters, we are positive there will be quite a few because these RRR's are not sexed. As soon as they are big enough they will be filling our freezer. Thank goodness my husband's father was a farmer for many years and can teach my husband how to do the deed..lol Wish me luck... Here they are... Wish I knew how many roos I am going to have.

That's a lot of chicks! Good luck with those guys! My mom "harvests" her own chickens, she just found a video online and learned that way! Probably much more fun to have an experienced family member show you. I don't know if I would be able to stomach doing the deed myself, but it is a useful thing to know how to do for self sufficiency! I just have to keep my mom close by. :)

Never thought of looking for a video, don't think I would want to watch it, but I will keep this in mind if my husband would need it. Thank you for the info. The peeps are all doing well, with that many I thought we might lose a couple. I can see a difference in them in just one day, already growing. Now to change part of the barn into a coop for them..
