my 4 week old chicks are so messy! they will empty out their feeder in a day, dumping it all over the floor. will they ate the stuff off the floor? or how can i feed them so they are a little neater?

I have a square wood box I put all the treats in so they can not tip that over and its 12 X 12 and my pellet feeder is hanging on twine with a 18" pan under it so I can recover most of the wasted food and the water feeder is just to heavy for them to move. It does take some time to figure out what works for you.
