Metal feeder

I have a metal feeder - open on the top to pour feed in - my chicks like to jump inside the feeder! (I know someone posted a pic of this but I can't find it) They poop in the feed - I want to cover it, but not a flat cover -something to keep them off of it completely - any suggestions?

If you are talking about the larger metal feeders that can hang you can purchase a hanging cover for the metal feeders or make your own using the lid to a 5 gallon bucket.

Don't remember who, but someone used a squirrel baffell to keep them off. You could pick up one at Lowe's or Home Depot, heck maybe even Walmart
