I am waiting to hear back from the UCFF on who the judge is going to be for this show, in case anyone here is interested in showing.

Is there anyone out there who has been to the Upper Cumberland show in the past? How was it?

I've never been, but I'm hoping to go this year!!

More information from the UCFF on the April 4 show in Cookeville, TN:

SHOWING BIRDS:

* The birds must be in their cages before 9AM as the judging begins.
* The ABA judge is Glen Cryar of Moody, Alabama.
* We accept birds anytime after 5PM on Friday the 3rd, this helps people
that are from out of town and want to stay the night in Cookeville at
a motel.
* We like for all that have birds entered to leave birds caged until after
the grand champion is selected which is soon after birds are judged and
Champion-Row is set up and the final birds of the show is selected.
We think this is respectful but understand if if someone has a long drive
and maybe one or two birds in the show and it doesn't create a scene, of course,
at our show. . . and all others I've been to, some clear out quickly if they lose.
* We have Official Rules in the Catalog and would be happy to send out to anyone
who is interested; just send us an address as to where to sent the catalog.
E-MAIL CONTACT: Lester Langford, [email protected]

FOR SELLING BIRDS:
We welcome people to set up and sell their quality birds, there is a 5.00 set-up
fee, see Morgan Young. (I will try to get a contact address, but I think this is a day-of-show contact.)

Many thanks for Mr. Langford for forwarding this information.

I went in October it was really good. I found some good birds last time. I can't until this one. There is a lot of people set up there. It is defently worth going.

That's good to know! I had found out folks were allowed to sell birds there, but I was not sure if there would really be anyone there doing this.

Bring your transport cages!

is the sale for only quality birds?
I might have some White Rocks but they are young, and I'm not sure of their quality.
and I have mutts running out my ears, but I guess mutts are frowned upon (?)
either way I'll be there! I'm bringing a few birds to show but they aren't show winners, it's mostly for an excuse to stay the whole time!!

anymore talk about the upcoming show?? We wanted to go but it is a 2 1/2 hour ride up there. Just curious if anyone is going to sell any standard breed birds? I know some swaps will do some "pre-selling" or atleast talk about what they may bring.

Anyone know how big a show this is usually??

Look forward to meeting some fellow BYC'ers!!
