Someone on craigslist about two hours away has midget turkey poults(just hatched ( for $10 or eggs for $3,00 each. Is this a good price? Anyone have any experience with the midget breed?

I have had poults from two places. Sandspoultry.com, members here, and a commercial hatchery. I still have all my sandspoultry.com ones, and sold all the hatchery ones as the difference to me was night and day. Go for quality.

yes it is a good price for Midget Whites. (Sun Star paid $75.00 a trio )
I have the trio I am babysitting for and they are a joy, so friendly.
My Jersy Buff do not have half the personality of these Midgets. for a first time Turkey they are great.
I would go see them and then decicde if they are something you would love to own.

are these for pets or for table fare? no matter which as they make wonderful birds for either.
