I meant to post the link to these pics the other day, but it looks like I forgot!

Here's the pics I took of my cochins a few days ago. I have three youngsters (two pullets, one cockerel) hatched roughly 7/1/08, and one young cockerel hatched roughly 3/20/08.

You'll see in the pics that the older cockerel (Richelieu) completely missed the boat on the black portion of his feathers, except for the mantle and tail. But he's a handsome fella anyway! The younger chicks look like their coloring will be much more interesting.

Any input welcomed!

Thanks guys!

I did not breed these birds. I bought all of them as chicks. Indirectly, the older cockerel came from Ralph Phillips and the younger birds from Mike Vogan. I think they're all going to be beautiful, whether they end up matching a "standard" or not.

Mille fleur cochins are not in the standard, but they can be shown as AOV. The pattern on them looks pretty good. Do you plan on selling eggs in the future?
