I have 7 Mille Fleur Bantam Cochin chicks for sale - all of this are hatched from the eggs I purchased from Nancy Krohn's show quality birds. I have so many and need to get rid of some. Out of the seven i believe there is 3 cockerels and 4 hens. The will be two months by Dec 22.

Shipping will be at actual price plus the cost of the box . If you buy all I will ship 4 in one box and the rest three in a second box. I believe the shipping will be $75 each box.

If you don't like to buy all 7 then please let me know what you like and will sell then accordingly.

If you tape the boxes together with shipping tape, you can send them as one unit. I sent 6 bantam cochins in 3 boxes as 1 unit in August from Michigan to Massachusetts, cost was about $85 for all. As long as girth plus length do not exceed 70" (somebody check me on this) it can be considered one box.

Yes the bid is for all 7. They all are great looking birds and hate to let them go. I need space and some need to relocated. Yes about shipping I will try putting two boxes if that saves any shipping cost. I will return any extra shipping cost. I'm in Webster ( 15 miles from Houston)

Matt, I understand you maybe don't understand the term show quality but, this is one of the most extreme cases of misuse of the term I have ever come across so I cannot help but mention..

First of all, mille fleur is a project color in cochins and is NO where near completion. The APA has yet to even begin speaking about even considering to accept that color as an official variety. So, right there SQ is impossible in mille fleur cochins.

Second of all, everyone I know of has outcrossed nicely colored birds (some wouldn't even call them cochins) with nicer... maybe SQ cochins of either buff columbian, partridge or mottled. What this outcross creates is a bird that is better typed than the original mille colored bird but, is still NO where near SQ type. Even putting them BACK to the SQ stock will not give you SQ typed birds. It will be a few more years before anyone has a true mille fleur colored bird that has the quality of type you are speaking of.

I feel stupid for even commenting because no one probably even cares.. but, couldn't help myself. [IMG]

Matt, they're pretty babies.. good luck selling them. Im sure someone will be happy to get them but, SQ they are certainly not.
