After a lot of waiting without an incubator, my King Quails have finally successfully produced one chick. This is surprising because most of their eggs are left lying around their aviary; I suppose one of the females decided to start incubating one of them without me noticing. I first found out about the chick on 27/2/15 (when these photos were taken); it probably hatched the day before.

It has been growing well since its hatching and has not been attacked by the male or the other females. Here is a photograph that I took of it yesterday.
