    She looks like a gold top, a cross between a silkie rooster and a light sussex hen.

    It means that you can tell which chicks are cockerels or pullets from hatch. The different sexes either feather in differently and have different colors of chick down, or they feather in at different rates. Sex-Linking makes it much easier to sex chicks.
