What do we do?? Our BO broody that has been sitting on my eggs is infested with mites or at least the eggs were covered with little black crawling bugs. I thought at first they were just dirt but when I tried to brush them off they started crawling all over the place, me included! Anyway, how do we treat the broody and eggs without hurting the little chick inside( since the egg shell breaths I am concered about what we can treat mom and egg with or for that matter what to even do.......... I have never encountered this before. HELP ME PLEASE.......

I use Ivomec to treat mine but you could buy some poultry dust or if you have DE. I also spray orange guard in my coops and it is all natural too.

You've got Northern Fowl mites..dusting the hen and nest with poultry dust wont hurt the eggs

Norther Mites....Yuck! Mites by any name are just grose  But, basically I can just treat everything with say Sevin Dust and it shouldn't hurt the eggs?
