Being silly, which I do often. OP typed "birbs" instead of "birds." I love typos of this sort. I buy a lot of daffodil "blubs" in the fall.

yeah that’s what i’m assuming- only the one with beard/muffs has started to lay. she’s given me around 20 eggs so far, but the other two haven’t really shown any signs of getting close to POL. could that be because of how it’s getting colder?

Yeah, probably. It’s common for some pullets to lay later than others.
