Hey everybody! I have some bourbon red turkeys that I've hatched out and are getting pretty big and will soon need to go to the pin with my 8 adult bourbon reds. I have 2 toms and 6 hens. Does anyone know how they will act? I know there will be a pecking order placed but will they hurt or kill them? Thanks for your help!

I make a pen in the corner of my run where my poults hang out during the day for about a month or so until they are big enough to start mingling. I supervise the initial interactions, often the adults will peck and chase the poults. I find it slightly easier to integrate chickens than turkeys. It can take a few weeks until I'm comfortable leaving poults and adults together.
