Mixing home hatched biddies and store bought biddies

Does anyone know if you can take store bought biddies and place them under a chicken sitting on newly hatched biddies?

you can try but be careful.

What age are they. You have to do it sneaky light when they are newly hatched out. Keep a close eye on them when you do it.

Yes, that can work. That's not to say it will work with every hen and every chick, but many BYCers have successfully added to a broody hen's number of chicks with some feed store chicks.

Some hens are just as happy as punch to have more babies to raise. Some are not as tolerant.

I might give it a try. I had a dozen or so eggs underneath my broody hen but a varmit got to all but three before i caught it. Now I just want to have a few more than three chicks. Tractor supply has many biddies....thought I might give it a try if you guys thought it was a good idea. I didn't know if she'd take to them or not. Thanks for the help!
