My six 6.5 week old BOs have nearly ten pounds of starter mash left. Should I store it for the next generation or blend it with the bag of grower I need to get this week?

Thank you all for your wise replies.

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to blend it so that they don't have a diet change suddenly. That being said, I've always just switched them over when they're done with the bag and they haven't had any problems with that. That probably wasn't very helpful...[IMG]

    Kelly,
Don't be so modest, there is wisdom in your reply.

It really seems that there is not too much hard science involved in most chicken husbandry aside from : chicken need food and water.[IMG]

Same situation with me, I had a good 10 lbs of chick left, so I mixed it with the new 50 lbs of layer. It's totally fine, not worth having extra laying around and wasting it.
