Hi everyone, i am hatching Coturnix and King quail eggs. I was wondering if the two different breeds could be kept in the same aviary? Why or why not?

I wouldn't attempt it. Two different species with different nutritional, habitation, and spatial requirements. The Coturnix are bigger birds than King quail and the Kings would most likely get 'bullied' by the Coturnix.
It might work if you had a huge aviary but even then there most likely would be fights and a loss of birds.

I definitely wouldn't mix those two species. The size difference means that you King quail aren't likely to survive. Even if there are plenty of hiding places, they are likely to get bullied.
Thanks for the insight, i will divide the aviary 🙏

King/button/CP Quail aren't technically quails they're hemipodes, different species of altogether so they couldn't breed. Corties would probably kill them anyway as both species are highly territorial and corties have a size advantage xx
