Mohawk needs to know what kind of chicken she is!

    I also have a "mystery" chicken. Here's a couple pictures of her:

    Looks like a Silver Laced Polish. Maybe not purebred.....

    Thanks for the replies. She came from McMurray Hatcery in their Ornamental Layer Collection so she is supposed to be purebred. She doesn't look like our other Polish which are white crested black polish.

    I had a silver laced polish with a Mohawk like that and it turned out to be a rooster. I got three polish and the only one with a Mohawk was a rooster. He was the smallest and the slowest to grow and at 12 weeks he turned into a mean rooster.
    Just my experience. Hope yours is better.

    silver lced polish, the lacing may not be the best because she's from a hatchery.
