My White Maran Roo is not acting well and has this discoloration on his comb. It started with little black dots, I thought it was fowlpox, but I am doubting that now since he has no sores and it is spreading. What should I do?

Check for mites and stick fast fleas.

You're welcome. Are there any other symptoms of disease?

Instead of crowing he makes a small barking short noise. I have crated him and brought him inside. What would you put on his comb? Thanks for your advice. I am fairly new to this.

"barking noise"-sounds like more than just fleas and mites. Try coating the spots with vaseline. You may need to get something different if the vaseline does not help. I have not had this problem with my birds. Try putting your question in the advanced search box at the top of this page.
