Hey all,
I have 15 chickens of varying breeds - great birds. Unfortunately they are ALL in various stages of molting. No eggs. Freeloaders!

Ok, my question is do any of you have any great tips on cleaning up or gathering all of the feathers within the coop? 7'x7' walk-in coop. I had just cleaned it prior to this major molt fest so I don't really want to do an entire clean, just a de-feathering. Looking for an easy solution although I am afraid there is none...

High protein feed will assist them in feathering. Tuna, eggs, floating catfish food, ground meats, cat food, etc.

But.... this is why we have a first year pullet crop every year. First year pullets don't moult, of course, and are heavy layers. This eases the pain of waiting on the older birds.

They'll be back to work as soon as they can be. Around February for sure.
