Molting food

    Molting chickens need lots of protein since the feathers they are losing take up 85% protein. Some of the best foods to give are: oatmeal, scrambled or hard boiled eggs, quinoa, meat scraps, peas, black oil sunflower seeds, corn, dry dog food or cat food, tuna fish or soybean meal.
