How do I deal with molting? Like is there something I can give my chickens to help them or?

I believe I have read that it is good to give them a higher protein food when they are molting. Hopefully someone with more experience on this will chime in. Good luck!

This is my first time with a molt, and I didn't do really anything. I do have a 23 watt light in the coop from when it gets dark and I try to turn it off at 8:00 for egg laying, so that might have done something, I'm not sure. If it is a hard molt then you might need to warm them up a little. But I have read that you need to keep an eye on them because they can lose weight too fast or catch a cold, but I don't think that very common. I just treated them like the rest and they are great. But like I said, this is my first time. :)

Higher protein yes but that doesn't mean you have to change your feed. Just give them some treat like canned cat food, meal worms, bugs, eggs, etc.
