Momma hen acts like she is having a sleep over.

    Every egg I bring her she tucks it under her belly as if to say "come'on get in there."
    Her name is Daphne. she has 5 big eggs and 3 bantam egg under her right now. from diff sources.

    Hopefully you have given her all of the eggs on the same day. Staggered hatches can cause several problems.

    she hatched out these last 2 from the eggs above. 9/1/14

    The small one below is my chicken egg will be EE bantam/Isbar both parents are "blue" if it is fertile, and the large is a double yolker from the above chicks farm. They do have mixed chickens but I am hoping for a Naked neck. Double yolkers usually don't make it, but this one looks to have enough room for 2 chicks. Mom hen is sitting on these due 22nd.

    these are all the same day. I hatched out staggered all summer long though. I have the time to keep track. and it is not like there is a lock down.

    Staggered hatches in an incubator and those under a hen are two far different things.
