Momma Hen and her 7 chicks (1 week old) ***Lot's of Pictures***

    Here is my Momma Hen, Lucy with her 7 chicks she hatched out last weekend. She is the best mom, it is so much fun to see her with her chicks. I just love her and the babies. The daddy is a Dominique and the mom's are Golden Comet's, Buff Orpington and Dominiques. So some are mixed breed and some are pure Dominiques. They are so cute!! There are 6 black/dark ones and 1 white one, I think we had the milk man visit the chicken coop. [​IMG]

    She looks like a Dalmation Chick- when I figure out if it is a boy or a girl, it's name is going to be either Pongo or Purdy

    They all look like dominques except the two odd balls. How cute! I have 5 little second generation gold commets in my laundry room right now with two Brown leghorns and a White frizzle cochin bantam. About 2.5 weeks old.
