On the left a pullet egg, on the right the large size eggs I've been getting.
In the middle THE MONSTER. Ouch that had to hurt.
I wish I knew which one layed it. I'd kiss her.

Yeah, let us know if it is a double yolker! I've never received a large egg like that. Though I've only had my chickens for 5 months. What are the breeds all these huge eggs are coming from???? I have Ameraucana and a few Wyndottes.

My cuckoo maran lays one that size every other day and they are always double yolkers. Poor girl, she makes the most awful noises for about a half an hour before she lays it and is so uncomfortable. :aww
But we sure do appreciate the double yolks. [IMG]

Good grief, maybe a triple yoker! Is there such a thing? Great egg...

Quote:I will take a photo of the yolk (or yolks) later this morning when I eat it. The breeds I have are Black, Red and Golden sex links. The red sex links have been laying the "regular" sized eggs, while the others mostly still have pullet eggs. I don't know which girl layed it though. [IMG] Today they are getting some yogurt and a bunch of cherry tomatoes for all their hard work:p
