More about the 4 year old beaten to death in my hometown :(

I have a four year old daughter and and we are expecting our second child on July 10th. This makes me absolutely sick. I do not care how abused or battered a mother is, every fiber of my being is to protect my child, or any child for that matter from harm. To watch someone abuse and belittle your child is bad enough but to actually let your child die because of that abuse. Maybe I am being overly emotional but there should be a death penalty for that. If you have a child and do not want or love it than give it away. Dispite its problems foster care would have at least saved this poor child from that horrible fate. There is a license required to drive a car, there should be one to have children and in doing so you are commiting yourself to complete responsibility for that childs well-being.

Here where I work, and I won't tell the name of the town, but its Fayette County in Illinois, there is a relative of the little boy. She told the BF beat him from Thursday-Sunday until he died because he wet his pants and got the couch wet too. I was sick and shaky about it for hours, think of the horror that sweet little boy went through because of a drug infested man and mom. I feel like the mother should be punished even more severe than the bf, just because it was her child. No man would ever get to my kids, he would have to go through me first . . .just can't fathom what these people are thinking of . . .he is at least in a better place although that doesn't make me feel much better either.

Sorry yall but its real easy to say "this is what I would do" but in reality its just words. I could name hundreds of situations that I was trained for an new in my mind what I would do if placed in that situation. When placed in those situations later it never seems to work out that way. Some went great an some will keep me up at night for the rest of my life.


"This is what I would do" really means "this is what I hope I would do" so it will only mean something when it becomes "This is what I did".

Without being there my self as it happened or being on the jury to hear all sides of the situation I will respectfully refrain from judgment. Even then you cant judge people on weather or not you yourself would act.

Wow is all i can think to say..............I cant even imagine what must have been going through that poor boys head when that was happening........Im not a mother myself but I can not imagine standing by and letting someone do that to my child..........Just shows what a bad place the world is turning into.............n people wonder why i prefer to keep away from society..........

I stepped in, paid for my gas, saw another man I think might have been with him, watching me . . .so I got in my car and very slowly drove away from the pumps watching the man with the kids in the wagon and him watching me. . .I was just waiting for him to do something but I think I actually scared him into being sensible. All the people in the station had a funny look on their face, so I don't know since I was a stranger and they knew the guy, they thought I might be gonna do something . . .or what. But, I don't care anymore and if I see something that I know is not right, I make a call. Usually does not do much good; CS are covered up and they simply don't have the manpower to check the complaints out like they probably should be, but it makes me sick to think of what some kids are having to go through. I have wondered many times how they even made it to school age, being neglected the way they are, how did they survive infancy.

Being in an abusive relationship when he turned on our daughter I left I ran as fast as I could and got away he could hit me, rape me, yell at me fine but touch my daughter and I left no one hurts my kids so I do know what I would do in that situation I was there and I left. I do not understand how a mom could do that stand by and let her child be hurt that badly. I am glad I left and I was pregnant with second daughter I meet a great guy who adopted my girls we have a son together and adopted another son when he was 4 I could not imagine allowing anyone to hurt my kids, he would have to kill me first...story's like this one make me sick there is no reason for something like this to happen

No clue, if the 'person' is dead it leaves either a 'vegetable' or a 'monster' neither good options...

I wonder if we started a program to pay people to get permanently sterilized if that would work? ... I hate this-

And I agree that our 'system' is too easy on people- but when the other inmates find out what he did his name will be "meat". (in most places)

he's already getting special treatment because his first night in jail he was beaten within an inch of his life if the rumours are true. They are holding him in an isolation cell away from general population for "his safety". Justice would be served if you treated him like ever other criminal in jail and left him in general population. His competency hearing is soon though.
