AGREED
I have always felt that if a drug addict, and I have had them in my own family, and never minced words with them about it either, cannot stay on the straight and narrow after one child, they should have to agree to be sterilized. I know, I know, takes away their civil rights, but when are we going to start thinking about the rights of a child. NO one asks to be born, we are responsible for that little person, whether they are ours or not . . .I just had an incident last week when I was getting gas at a small town filling station last; man was pulling a little girl about 4 and a little boy about 2 in a wagon . . .little girl dropped something on the ground, and the dad (who was carrying a pizza he was allowed to buy already made with a link card instead of having to buy FOOD that might make two meals instead of this ONE) was rabid. I thought he was going to put the box down and beat her, he screamed and yelled and she just cowered. I watched this from my car, and took a step around the back of my trunk and he saw me coming and calmed down and pulled them quickly around and went the other way. I stepped in, paid for my gas, saw another man I think might have been with him, watching me . . .so I got in my car and very slowly drove away from the pumps watching the man with the kids in the wagon and him watching me. . .I was just waiting for him to do something but I think I actually scared him into being sensible. All the people in the station had a funny look on their face, so I don't know since I was a stranger and they knew the guy, they thought I might be gonna do something . . .or what. But, I don't care anymore and if I see something that I know is not right, I make a call. Usually does not do much good; CS are covered up and they simply don't have the manpower to check the complaints out like they probably should be, but it makes me sick to think of what some kids are having to go through. I have wondered many times how they even made it to school age, being neglected the way they are, how did they survive infancy.
