I had a hen go broody 3 times this summer and ALL the eggs always hatch. 3 down and 3 more to go.
Help with breeding please
1. egg was from a welsummer
1 eggs pinkish
1 egg brown
1. rhode island red
1. americana, red mix
1 silver pheonix
1. pheonix mix
1 Welsummer - This is one definitely due to chocolate egg
6 rhode island reds
1 austrlorp mix
The gray chick has a complete gray top and a yellow body with black feet. WOW on the coloring. The prettiest chicken ever is
Congrats! And wow! I love love love the coloring on that silver and black chipmunk! So pretty.
In my experience so far, the red and black genes are pretty dominant. I'd guess the brown/red chick is probably your Welsummer cross.

wow. I feel like a new parent. Another egg is hatchung. beak is out of shell and chirping. Pic in minutes. I am so excited.
new #4. This one is small small. Kind of scared but it looks ok. Black with white belly and pinkish dark feet
