Loved the pic of the hen on her side enjoying the SunShine.

When I first saw a chicken doing this i went for the emptly feed bag to pick up a dead chicken.

Boy, was I suprised when she squaked and ran off. dang, it was a miracle !!

haha yes, me too. I did the same thing when I first got my chickens.

cracks me up when my girls do this, I always ask them if they have a flat tire. They always laugh, good sports that they are.
Mine do it on the hot concrete in front of the garage door.
I think it's called 'anting' but I can't remember why.

oh yess It cracks me up how she roosts there every night. One night, we had just grilled burgers and she jumped up there and the top was still hot! You should have seen how fast she jumped off that thing haha. But that didn't stop her from roosting there after that!
