so, went to the coop this morning to let the girls out in their run and put my set of Cochins in their run. As I'm in the run, to open doors and windows, I hear the most pathetic sound coming from inside the coop. I was mortified, sounded like one was hurt. I go inside, all my big girls are okay. I hear the sound three more times. I go into the Cochin side of the coop, and come to find out it is my little boy Rocky, the black bantam cochin, trying to be a rooster. Awe, poor thing, he sounded so pathetic, but, he was trying so hard.
I had to laugh. It was a highlight of my day. Rocky wants to be a roo.[IMG]

Little roos just crowing are so adorable. One of my Bantam RIR cockerels still sounds like a strangled frog.
