In our leading poultry forum in Germany, an user asked for an explanation for this phenomenon.
At the day old chick You can realize, that almost the whole left wing is black and there is a black dot on the head (interestingly rather on the left side, too), everything else, even the right wing is yellow.

In the meanwhile it proofs, that the area at the wing of the 33 days old chick seems to be barred, the rest of the body remains white.
By the way, the chick is a cross of barred Maline x hybrid layer

I had expressed already a presumption in the original thread, which I can link later, after some opinions of the collective wisdom of the poultry geneticists of this forum.
What do You think, can cause this phenomenon?

Do you have a Gynandromorph? That would be exciting!

This is the chick of somebody else, but she can't very good english. So I offered her to investigate instead of her in this forum ... wanted to do this since weeks
Well, now I've done it ... finally.
I wonder, whether others would agree with You and me, that it could be a Gynandromorph?
