This spring and summer I had the unique experience of having a roller hen hatch two birds from consecutive clutches that appear to be Mosaics. The first young bird has black secondaries with white primary feathers on one side and white secondaries and white flights on the other side, one white wing. The second youngster has a dark head and neck (black) and a blue saddle with some blue secondaries and a black bar. The opposite side has white secondaries and white flights. If these are mosaics I am surprised to have this happen in two consecutive clutches. In 16 years of raising pigeons, primarily rollers, I've never seen this occur. Any comments.
