I picked up a really cool looking egg this morning; it was giant, had a bunch of bumps at the top, was dark at the top, light on the bottom, and speckled. Too bad I dropped it. [IMG]

Ok I think I have a contender. I had a POL Bluebell (Conswala) who had only been laying a few weeks. She stopped laying for a whole week then passed this bad boy.
She is lucky she didn't prolapse, and is perfectly healthy now, but for about 2 months after laying this egg I had to clear poop off her bum feathers because she just wasn't getting the same clearance. These pictures are not edited.

This is the layer, Conswala a Bluebell (hybrid hen)

And this is what she laid

Those were Tesco's large egg boxes!
When I first saw it I thought, do I own a goose?
My eyes were watering when I looked at my little hen.

Here is Conswala now 4 months later.
She is very healthy and lays me an egg a day. She is also the True Boss of the flock.
Oh and she has changed colour in the face, but she is not ill, just spends alot of time in the sun [IMG]

And for those interested it was an egg inside an egg. There was fluid (egg white) inbetween, the inner egg was perfectly normal.
