Mottled Houdan Roo x Silkie Hen

I have my first hatch ever! Super excited. It is a cross between my Houdan Roo and one of my silkies. I have black and white silkie hens. One of the white ones takes all the eggs to hatch, so no way to know if it was her egg or not. Anyone have any idea what a houdan silkie cross looks like? Google has been no help. Here is a pic of one of the chicks. They all look like this.

No clue what they should look like but your baby is very cute!
Please keep posting how she/he turns out. I am curious to see what the cross will turn out like.

Hope you chicks are doing well. 5 of our Silkie houdans have hatched today. Hen's a houdan, black Silkie roo. Tried to find what they may end up like but no luck.

Some of th Houdan have Crecavour combs. I like the crown combs better. Not sure which they are supposed to have.

Looks like s/he may end up with the "walnut" comb, and has quite the pouf on its head. We just hatched a Silkie/bantam buff Cochin and it is cute as can be!
