Mottled Silkie with Blue/Green eggs Project.

I've been thinking of doing a mottled silkie project but I also what them to lay Blue/Green eggs as well. I have a Mottled Pekin Hen I bought and a black silkie rooster. i'm just waiting for my pekin to start laying eggs so I can start hatching. I Know that the F1 gen will be solid in colour & will carry the mottling gene so I will have to cross the F1's together to get a mottled silkie in the F2 gen. I also plan to cross a araucana with a black silkie girl I have to get a black silkie that lay coloured eggs. I then plan to cross the coloured egg silkie line into my mottled silkies later down the line to get the coloured egg gene in them. I'm going to start with a black base mottle silkie first then maybe try other colours down the line like a mottled buff silkie. All the mottled silkie lines will lay coloured eggs like in the pic attached. The mottled hen I have is similar the hen in pic. Not my pics. Maybe even do a showgirl version way down the line. Thoughts on the project? Would love helpful and positive comments and thoughts.

Dont know how many babies yet, she has not moved off the nest. But heard lots of cheeping. And saw the one baby yesterday.

Off topic, but are those eggs really that color intense?

My black Silkie girl just went brood on my mottled silkie eggs. They will be F2 gen. It's a step forward. Not what I planned in the beginning but it's a step.

Update mottled silkes line 2:
I finally have some mottled chicks. They are from the second blood line. The chicks are 60% pekin and 40% silkie. Mom was pure mottled pekin and dad was 3/4 silkie and 1/4 pekin mottled carrier. i think one of the chicks is half aracauna. When they are at breeding age i will breed them all Line 2 mottles together to hopefully intensify the mottling gene and get some babies with silkie feathers.

Huh was planning to only use the crosses that have the most silkie traits in them. Will sell or cull ones that dont have the correct traits.
