    Hi all,

Still kind of new to this chicken rearing thing- I have 2 girls: greedy guts and clever girl.

My girls have recently starting to lose feathers on their necks, just wanted to check if it is normal moulting or if it is mites/lice issue? When I first noticed this on Greedy Guts, I thought it was mites so gave her a full dusting of DE. Now I've notices Clever Girl has it too?

It is Autumn (fall) here in Sydney Australia so could it be just moulting?

    Thanks

Thanks for that. I am hoping it is moulting.

Just checking- I added a few photos to this post, did it show?

    Cheers

No photos. I never learned how to post them myself.

You might also want to post at "Australia, six states and one funny little island." to know what works best/ is available in your country. Do you notice your girls plucking each others feathers? It may be molting but would appear in other areas as well.

Hi and welcome to BYC - you have some great advice already so I'll just say hello! Your photo may not have appeared as it takes a few posts before pics can be uploaded by new members.

    All the best

Thanks all. Strange about the photos not uploading though, because I was able to post photos in my first post about dots in my eggshells
