mountain quail??

I was perusing craigslist when I found an ad for hatching eggs for mountain quail. They are very beautiful, but I have never had quail before...how different would these be compared to chickens?

I keep Bobwhite quail myself. However I guy I know up the road from me raises Mountain Qauil, sells the eggs and birds as a business and from what he tells me, they are a bit skittish around humans. They are gorgeous birds aren't they?

I would love to build an aviary and just sit and watch them... love eye candy

. just need to know how big of an aviary they would need to get dh to sign off on it

start off with coturnix them work your way up

I never did cortunix because I have only read people keeping them indoors...need something that will be cold hardy to stand our winters in Maine outdoors, will they do that?

Mtn Quail Are A Severe Specialty Bird Due To The Very Difficult Nature Of Them When Starting And Raising Chicks... No Quail Compare Very Well To Chickens
