We are wanting to move our broody silkie inside for hatch time, Does anyone think moving the eggs and mom inside will upset her? We are worried about cold weather and other chickens causing injuries to babies.

Silkies are great moms and I think if you did she would be ok.... probably a bit ruffled for a minute but once she had her eggs with her again she'd probaly go right to them.

I moved mine just after one hatched and still two eggs to hatch and she was fine with it. Wasn't happy to start with but she settled down after a few minutes. I did it just before dark.
some say to take the same bedding material with her.
