It is still in the 30s and colder here in Missouri, but my 4 chicks are getting too big to stay inside. They are about 3 weeks old (Buff Orpingtons) and we would like to get them into the coop within the next 3 weeks. How can we keep them warm? Does anyone have any experience with hanging the Ecoglow 20 on the inside of the coop to keep chicks warm. I read on the Ecoglow website that you can do that. They will be too big to go under it as a brooder. Any advice?

I have no idea what the Eco glo is. However. I put my buff orpingtons outside at 2.5 weeks old. They have a dog kennel with a red heat lamp in it. To cut wind and to keep warm. That was 2-3 weeks ago and they are all doing great! It's 20 deg right now and they are sleeping soundly and non bunched up.
