Yesterday was the big day! The trim and door went on the coop yesterday morning. Hubby built it in our big shop. Yesterday afternoon his Dad came out and they pulled it to its new home with the tractor. It looks fantastic! We are waiting for the roof tin so it is covered by a tarp for right now.(Still snowing here in MT!) He says I cant post pics until that darn tarp is replaced with tin, so next week! I put the heat lamp in to take the chill off and after supper we carried the girls out to their new home. Even my hubby who said I am never picking up a chicken, helped! So as you can imagine, I didnt get much sleep.
I was waking up every 20 minutes to check the temp. Driving hubby nuts! He finally took the temp sensor off the house and put it in the coop so I could tell without leaving the house! I was out at midnight to check on things. Girls seemed happy! I am headed out now to give them breakfast! Sorry so long just wanted to share our exciting news! Will post pics asap!
